The Whitworth has its own typeface, a version of Guardian Sans created especially for the gallery. The font was developed with the designer Peter Saville and typographer Paul Barnes, and is a bespoke version of a font that Paul created for the Guardian newspaper. The Whitworth identity was created by Peter Saville and Ian Smith.
